Biography

Masauso is an academic at the University of Zambia with an extensive educational background, including a PhD in Social Policy and Social Work. He also serves as a guest professor in social protection at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Germany and supervises postgraduate students at the University of Michigan in the United States. He has held significant roles such as Chair/Head of Department. Masauso’s teaching portfolio encompasses a diverse array of subjects including social protection, development economics, child protection, and disability. He has mentored PhD and Masters’ students. His research has significantly contributed to the fields of social protection, child protection, and disability, influencing policy development for the Zambian Government.

  • May 2021-June 2023: To conduct a Gender Analysis that will generate a body of evidence to inform programme implementation and systems strengthening/capacity building in Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health, and Nutrition (SRMNCAH-N) service delivery in Zambia. This also involved the development of training manuals for health workers and community members. We further conducted one-month training for health workers, CHAI employees, and community members in the study sites. Funded by Clinton Health Initiative Access and SIDA.
