Welcome to the Department of Government and Management Studies (formerly Department of Political and Administrative Studies). The department is one of the oldest departments in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. It has been in existence for more than 50 years. The department offers academic programmes in public administration, management, political science and other fields related to governance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The department also offers short courses and consultancy services in the areas of governance and management. - 2014 to 2015: National Corruption Diagnostic Survey. The clients were Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Ministry of Justice, Zambia.
- 2010 to 2011: Assessment of the State of Democracy in Zambia. The client was International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA).
- 2004 to 2005: Impact Assessment of the Public Service Reform Programme (PSRP) and the Public Service Capacity Building Project (PSCAP). The client was Cabinet Office of the Government of the Republic of Zambia.
- 2003: National Governance Baseline Survey. The clients were Ministry of Justice (Zambia) and World Bank.
- 1998 to 2001: Formative Research Process. The client was Norwegian Institute for Urban Development.
- 1996 to 1998: Democracy and Political Participation in Zambia: The 1996 Elections. The clients were USAID, Swedish Embassy, Norwegian Embassy, Finnish Embassy and Danish Embassy.
