Welcome to the department of Pathology and Microbiology, School of Medicine, University of Zambia. Its Offices are located in the University Teaching Hospital main laboratory block with offices on the ground and first floors. The Head of Department office is situated on the ground floor. This is the academic department of the MBChB programme which trains medical Doctors and other allied health professionals at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. It offers specialist teaching and training in Histopathology (Clinical Pathology), Haematology, Medical Microbiology, Parasitology, Virology, Immunology and Chemical Pathology.
