The Government has pledged to constitute a team of engineers from the Ministry of Water, Development, Sanitation, and Environmental Protection, Lusaka Water Supply, and Sewerage Company (LWSC) which will work with the University of Zambia (UNZA) Resident Engineering department to address the water and sanitation challenges at the institution.
Speaking after a tour of some UNZA hostels on Tuesday, 19th April 2022, Minister of Water, Development, Sanitation, and Environmental Protection who is also a Munali Member of Parliament, Hon. Mike Mposha, said the water and sanitation situation at the University was worrisome and that it needed urgent attention.
