International students looking to study at UNZA will be required to obtain a study permit from the Department of Immigration. The application process should be done while outside the country.

- Obtain two recent passport size photographs
- Police clearance from applicant's country of permanet residence. This applies to applicants who are applying from outside Zambia and are 18 years and above
