The aim of the programme of the Master of Science in Agronomy is to produce specialists with knowledge of crops and soils. Graduates from this programme will have a broadly based background and will be better equipped to tackle agronomic problems. The programme is structured in such a way that it promotes multidisciplinary research, which is a more effective way of investigating agronomic problems.
Duration
2 Years (Full-Time)
The applicant must possess:
- Degree of Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences with a credit or better of the University of Zambia or another recognized University
- Posses qualifications deemed equivalent to the Degree of Agricultural Sciences with credit or better
- Have had three years of experience after receiving the degree of Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences, or otherwise
- Satisfy the University Senate of their ability to pursue postgraduate studies in their chosen fields.
Notwithstanding paragraphs (i) and (ii) above, the School, at the request of a Department, may require applicants, as a condition for admission to a particular Master’s programme, to take pre-request courses or a qualifying examination at the discretion of the Board of Studies, subject to approval of Senate.
