The School of Medicine Library is based within the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) complex and serves the information needs of the School of Medicine, and UTH. It is designed to seat about 180 persons. It is not a purpose built library and is strictly in temporary location. Our pages provide comprehensive information about Library resources and services, links to electronic resources that we subscribe to for the benefit of staff and students, and the MEDGUIDE, which gives other links to freely available Internet resources that we think will be useful to Medical Library users.
Mission
Our role is to provide access to biomedical information resources required by members of the School of Medicine and Hospital staff for research, learning and teaching. There is a wealth of material to support learning and research at the School of Medicine; over 40,000 printed volumes and an extensive range of high quality electronic resources, which we access through the PERI programme.
