Afrobarometer Round 8 Survey Kicks Off

The Afrobarometer Round 8 survey has finally kicked off with 16 Field Research Assistants and 4 field Supervisors trained from 18th to 24th November, 2020. This was followed by a pilot test conducted in Chilanga’s Shimabala area with each Field Research Assistant carrying out two personal interviews to obtain information from individual respondents from randomly selected households. The respondents answered a series of questions in a face-too face situation and in a language of the respondent’s choice.

The Psychology Department will be running the captioned short course from 2nd November to 31st December,2020. The course was early this year indefinitely postponed on account of COVID-19.Payments that were made pre-COVID 19 are still valid.Slips should be presented to accounts office ,School of Humanities. Those who have not yet made payments are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.A limited number of 46 participants is accepted each session.
