- Health and immunity - Understanding the biochemical effect of nutrition and environmental pollutants on the protection against pathogens and how it can be used in the development of strategies that can reduce the burden of infection in communities.
- Green Chemistry – Optimising clean and low cost biofuels for sustainable development.
