Dr. Shepande joined the University of Zambia in August, 2011. Before joining the University of Zambia, he worked as a lecturer at the Natural Resources Development College, NRDC. He was later elevated to the position of Vice Principal at the same college. Currently, Dr. Shepande is the Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies in the School of Agricultural Sciences. In addition he is involved in other core university activities which include teaching, training, research in areas of sustainable land management, soil survey, land suitability evaluation, soil classification, mapping of wetlands, GIS and remote sensing applications in soil science and natural resources management.
