Chinese Language Courses

Short Courses

The Confucius Institute offers Short Courses of Chinese language, open to the general public, with no entry requirement.
The courses are divided by level of proficiency and have the objective of preparing the international Chinese language proficiency test (HSK). The courses offered cover the first 5 levels of the Chinese language proficiency tests, as per table below:

Credit Courses

The Confucius Institute is involved in the teaching of Credit Courses in Chinese Language of the University of Zambia, which can be taken by students majoring or minoring in Chinese language, or by students wishing to add Chinese language to their programme as a filler course.

The University of Zambia offers two programmes in Chinese, namely the Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Linguistics (in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences) and the Bachelor of Arts with Education in Chinese Language Teaching (in the School of Education).

Curriculum Development

The Confucius Institute is available to aid public and private institutions with the compilation of Chinese language curricula and syllabi, and assist in finding resources to enhance the teaching of the Chinese language

Translation

The Confucius Institute provides Translation services for the private and public sectors, both from Chinese to English and from English to Chinese. Fees depend on type and length of the documents.
