Mr. Chrispin Chisanga is a Molecular Virologist and Infectious Diseases Scientist working as a Lecturer at the University of Zambia, School of Health Sciences. He teaches Immunology, Virology, Molecular Biology and Medical Parasitology to Biomedical Sciences and Medical students. His research interest is in pathogenic mechanisms of the human papillomavirus (HPV) in the placental compartment. His current research for which he is seeking grant funding is on the effect of HPV on Oncogene B-cell Lymphoma 6 (BCL6) expression in preeclamptic placentas. His other research interest is in cancer immunotherapy for Glioblastoma (GBM), Epstein Barr-virus (EBV) and Kaposi Sarcoma (HHV-8) using circulating dendritic cells (cDC) from blood rather than dendritic cells (DC) generated in the laboratory.
