Welcome to the School of Engineering at the University of Zambia. The School has five Departments: Agricultural, Civil and Environmental, Electrical and Electronic, Geomatic, and Mechanical Engineering. Each Department offers a five year Bachelor of Engineering degree programme.The departments also offer Master of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy degree programmes to students who choose to study with us.In all the engineering degree programmes that we offer, our aim is to develop and enhance the skills required in our graduates to face the challenges of our technologically complex world. As well, the School, through its departments, offers engineering consultancy advisory services and tailor-made short courses to requirements of companies, industry and government.
Through our faculty and departments, the School maintains a number of links with companies, professional bodies, research institutes, governmental institutions and other universities, both locally and internationally.We do this because we believe that networks make us a rich academic institution and keep us up to date with developments locally and internationally.
In all that we do, we place the individual at the centre of our activities.We treat everyone that comes to us like a customer, with respect, whether at an individual or organizational level.
