The University of Zambia (UNZA) through the office of the Vice Chancellor has been appointed to the newly formed East and Southern Africa Regional Committee of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) headquartered in London, United Kingdom.

The University of Zambia and Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Science Prof Cyprian Katongo has been nominated to represent Zambia on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Man and Biosphere International Coordinating Committee (UNESCO MAB ICC) for the next four years.
