Minister of Transport and Communication and now Minister of Higher Education Engineer Dr Brian Mushimba has commended the University of Zambia for setting up the first-ever Flying Lab in Zambia and has called on UNZA through the School of Engineering to establish a remote pilot training centre for drones to train Zambians who are interested in becoming licensed remote pilots

The University of Zambia Assistant Dean in the School of Education, Lecturer and Researcher Dr Sylvia Mwanza Kabaghe has won the prestigious Joep Award at the just ended 13th International Conference on HIV treatment, pathogenesis, and prevention research in resource-limited settings hosted in Accra, Ghana.

The University of Zambia (UNZA) and Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see a more strengthened partnership between the two institutions. The signing ceremony comes after the initial meeting between ZNBC and UNZA on 19th February this year, where the two institutions agreed to formalize collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
